Ascent Trip ReportFinally the family was together and we did a family hike and I picked this one because it had a nice parking lot right off the parkway. It was drizzling and it made a loop up to one of the tallest peaks in NC and disanointing to see there was hardly a view anywhere. Why cut a trail up the taller peaks and provide no view? Daniel went crazy identifying mushrooms. But still, I did share a 3k prominence peak with most of my family. Karen stayed in the car to watch Teddy. |
