Ascent Trip ReportI took this peak for granted when I decided to do it, after all, it is just a "hill." Don't make this mistake. We started at the parking lot and headed up the paved road for a short distance. There was a use trail to the right that leads to a less used trail on the that heads uphill. This is where is gets interesting. The trail alternates between steep-class 3- to sloped as you climb a series of hills. When you get to the peak you will be scrambling to get to the top. There is an ammo can at the top, but no log book.
On the way down we decided to forego the class 3 loose rock scramble and opted to bushwhack to the use trail that came off of the paved road. This is not an easy hike, but the views were pretty amazing.
