Ascent Trip ReportGPX file is for entire round trip, including Frisco Mountain. Descent was made via the standard route to the tarn at 6100', below the Maple Pass Trail.
The scrambling directly from Frisco Mountain to Rainy Peak is quite simple and involves just one 4th class step. The 4th class step is about 30 vertical feet of scrambling on solid rock. Staying on the ridge direct is the most fun and is pretty cruiser.
