Ascent Trip ReportThis GPX is from our bivy in upper Thunder Basin to West Tenpeak Mountain, continuing direct to The Hive and then back to White Pass. This was our general trip itinerary:
Day 1: 17mi, 4700' NF Sauk Trail - PCT - Foam Creek Trail - White Chuck Glacier - SW Ridge Kololo Peaks - Gorgeous Day Peak - Honeycomb Glacier - SE Slopes Kopeetah Divide - Bivy
Day 2: 8.8mi, 5100' Kopeetah Divide - Honeycomb Glacier - Moth Lake - Hoof Peak - Moth Lake - Moth Glacier - Neyah Point - W Ridge Tenpeak Mountain - Tenpeak/West Tenpeak Bivy
Day 3: 18.5mi, 3400' Tenpeak/West Tenpeak Bivy - South/West Ridges West Tenpeak - S Slopes The Hive - Honeycomb Glacier - White River Glacier - White Chuck Glacier - Foam Creek Trail - PCT - NF Sauk Trail
The descent directly off the west side of West Tenpeak was easy third class. We continued up the SE slopes and a SE facing ramp to reach the summit. Our descent was back down the same ramp, traversing the south slopes and to the next notch, where we made an easy snow descent back to the Honeycomb Glacier.
