Ascent Trip ReportApproached from the Johnston Ridge Observatory. Easy, runable trail most the way to Margaret. Steep washouts and rocky, exposed areas every so often but all look worse than they are and are easily passable. Fun, easy 15' scramble to the top of the summit block where there is a USGS marker. Lots of wildlife, lots of flowers. This is an incredible area and is beginner friendly for those who can handle big distances. There are even pit toilets along the way in the various camps. No running water, but it looks like there might be streams earlier in the season. Tagged Coldwater on the way back.
