Ascent Trip ReportAfter summitting Reyes and then taking the use trail along the east ridge, I met back up with the main trail heading to Haddock.
It's a nice trail, well-maintained. A fire came through pretty recently and you travel through some burn areas. Tall grasses there now, with some new pine tree seedlings peaking out. The trail just rolls along the ridge, up and down. Never too steep. Very pleasant hike through the pines.
The trail heads right next to the Haddock summit. (One could be faked out by a few false summits along the way.) An old rusty coffee can held a register, which looks very full. Could probably use a big ammo box here. Seems a popular summit.
I saw a few groups on the trail on my way back to the car. Getting hot on the trail by then.
Total round-trip (Reyes and Haddock): 3 hours 5 minutes.
