Ascent Trip ReportDespite the paucity of trip reports here, much has been written about Gallatin Peak and many excellent directions exist in guidebooks and other websites. The most direct approach up the North Fork/Bear Basin, down into Hell Roaring, and up the south face requires 20 miles and 6000' vertical gain round trip. There are a bunch of other ways to climb Gallatin, each one more scenic than the last.
