Ascent Trip ReportGlorious day in Rainier national park. Small group of mountaineers members on an unofficial trip. Good time with a conditioned group. Initial attempt was to complete multiple peaks but with the inability to acquire a permit we shortened the trip to a single day outing. After staging this peak we made our way to Iron mountain running the ridge. Some nice rock scrambling along the ridge. the summit is an open pasture. great views when the weather is cooperating. |
