Ascent Trip ReportSfter the previous evening's Monte Terminillo ascent.
From WNW, Sacra Cuore (Capo la Valle on Kompass map), trail all the way, no scrambling, lovely outing.
No GPS track today, but route is well shown on OpenStreetMap and Kompass, and well marked on the ground. Good trailhead parking, track leads N then soon take paint marked trail R, signed Monte Gorzano. At 1580m in woodland take trail R, signed Stazzo Gorzano, reached after zigzagging out of the woodland, a walled area but no building. Trail climbs curving R to attain the west ridge which it follows to the summit, marked with a cairn, with a small cross and 6cm IGM trig bolt nearby. Fine scenery, although nothing distant today. 2h10 up, 2h05 down with a few stops.
