Ascent Trip Report

Started the hike from camp at around 6:20 AM and began up the climbing trail on the sagebrush covered slope towards the super gully. Once we got higher we completely lost track of the trail and bushwhacked our way up and over, using the occasional drainage as footing as we went higher. Once we reached the mouth of the super gully we started climbing straight up it on the endless scree slopes. Eventually we started working our way up the rock ribs where the footing was more solid. Once we reached the false summit we moved along the summit ridge. Taking care not to fall off the side of the mountain and eventually reached the summit at around 11. Scree skiing down the super gully was definitely the highlight of the climb.
