Ascent Trip ReportAn incredible day out. Mo and I climbed the north ridge and descended the Cascadian Couloir. We started from the south side trailhead and took 27 hours on the car to car push. Saw the sun rising and lighting up Mt Rainier near the end, absolutely incredible.
Just to give a data point on the Cascadian Couloir -- maybe 500 vertical feet of snow at the top. Crampons and ice axe definitely required. Even at night, the snow had a soft surface which made it easy to dig in with the 'pons.
