Ascent Trip Report

Did The Loop: Alpine Peak/Independence Mountain/Little Sugarloaf Peak in a counterclockwise direction. As you can see from the GPX file, we bypassed the summit of Sugarloaf Peak due to Thunder/Lightning and our exposed position on the mountain. All off-trail except return on N-S Hells Hole Trail back to Trailhead. The Trailhead is the Easternmost point on the GPX file. (Passenger cars can make it to this point).

About 8 miles RT and about 2800 feet vertical elevation.
