Ascent Trip Report

Second of the Seven Sisters peaks.

From Big Slaty, the trail downhill does become in fact much more rooty, ragged and complex as you drop some 400 feet (longer than the topo maps indicate in incline and descent) below Big Slaty down a beautiful but rugged trail/ridgeline. At times the trail disappeared, especially at a rock face that dropped 25 feet below. Instinct and care took over at this point to get me down further on the ridge. I am sure in the winter, the Black Mountains and the Craggy Mountains would be in full view, but the Spring foliage blocked most of this.Not much to say about this "peak other than it was clearly flat and marked the peaks above and below.
