Ascent Trip ReportHiked to the summit from Buck Creek trailhead. Left at 330 pm and arrived on the summit about 8 pm, taking our time. Some patches of snow, but for the most part free of snow and straight forward. Spent the night on the summit, in sleeping bags but no tents.
The sky at night was spectacular. About 330 am woke up and watched Comet NEOWISE for 0.75 hours, along with Venus, Mars, the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter. Quite the show.
Casually had a light breakfast and left the summit about 9 am on July 11th. Strolled back to the cars and syphalization. |
