Ascent Trip ReportWalked out of the cabin front door and hiked up Hiway 578 south toward the mtn. Turned right on a dirt road just north of Elk Trail road, followed this road past the right turn with house on left, continued another 100 feet or so until the property line with fence on left ended, then headed up the forested slopes toward the ridge and followed it to summit. A steep and pleasant hike thru the forest ensued, with hardly any bushwhacking as the abatis is not bad. The slope was very steep in sections but the footing is good. Lots of fun.
We did not cross any private property best we know, definitely saw no signage. I respect private property and will not trespass. I respect the Law which gives deed and title to the land to the current land 'owner' to control and restrict access.
