Ascent Trip ReportFrom the gate at the end of Cow Hill Road (sign: 213 Cow Hill, room for only one car), continued about 1/10 mile and took the left fork on a good road to a log yard on the ridge. From there, crummy skidder tracks took me right up the ridge to within 100 vertical feet of the summit, an easy bushwhack through open woods. On the summit, a sign, a brass plug, and a glass register jar. Also the junction of two trails; I took the yellow-blazed one SE down to a viewpoint and junction. A blue-blazed trail headed right (NW) here and zigzagged down to a blank kiosk by the road about 0.25 mile past the gate. This would make a good ascent route, but watch carefully for the blue blazes.
