Ascent Trip ReportPublic. Car could get to the trailhead. I came in via the more northerly of the two loop route roads. See track. After a night at a buggy campsite on the slopes, I drove up. Interesting mountain, it's massive but just a slope and never rises up significantly when viewed from the W. But at the top the E side is impressive cliffs. It's scenic, has an alpine feel to it with trees, snow, ponds, and the impressive E face which I prefer over the desolate desert scenery characteristic of this trip. Final bit to the top is via a gated road walk and then touching several rock piles. Several other people here even in the brief time I was on the mountain and other cars parked at trailhead.
