Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful day on a somewhat lonely peak. Steep hike from the road. Snow around 4200, don't need axe or spikes. Route-finding difficult when snow covers trail, just head up and left when you lose the trail, look at your GPS and map and you'll catch the trail again, eventually. Gorgeous views from the lookout. On the way down, when you hit the snow, it's not obvious but there is a huge blow-down and you have to walk across that to remain "on-trail". Didn't see a lot of people and all but a few were very conscientious about space and wearing masks. |
