Ascent Trip Report

Used the Map Man Report on 8/25/2019. Started about the same spot walked the road to the entrance to the hill. This is a grassy area after the last road on the right. Go to the furthest end of the grass and you will see a trail. You can take this to the top and go left anywhere where there is fern. I downloaded the map man GPS. I just followed it without a problem. Did not go to the pond since cloudy conditions were getting dark. GPS did get a little funny at the top. There is an open spot where the sign is on the stump. Under the tree below is the canister. If done in winter, you will have to dig this out to register. The notebook is full does need another one. I forgot to pick one up before I hiked. There is a view of South Peak and maybe Green Top in Maine. Partridge scared me when they flew out of the woods. There was moose and fresh bear spat on the trail. There was on of them rustling in the woods. There must be many moose in this area.
