|Date:||Tuesday, June 23, 2020|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||14411 ft / 4392 m|
Ascent Trip ReportSkinned from glacier basin up interglacier. Snow was nice and soft from 10 to 1pm. Didn't rope up on the emmons glacier to Camp Shurman. Few people at camp due to COVID. Ranger gave us a briefing. Left camp at 4am, followed the bootpath. Prominent traverse with crevasses on both sides at 11000 feet. there were 2 other crevasse crossings. Got to the crater rim at 9:30. Tagged the summit and waited till 11 to drop down. Top 500 ft was icy due to wind but turned very mushy instantly once the wind died down. Besides the crevasse crossing at 11000 feet, skied all the way back to camp and down.
