Ascent of Trask Mountain on 2020-06-21
|Date:||Sunday, June 21, 2020|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3424 ft / 1043 m|
Ascent Trip ReportDid the bike and hike from the closed gate on Trask Toll Road near the Fairchild Creek crossing. Steady ascent on good forest roads by mountain bike with the first mile being the steepest section and another steep section between mileposts 8 and 9 (there are markers every 1/2 mile along the road, the gate being near the 1/2 mile marker). Biked 10 miles, stowed it and hiked the rest of the way. The last mile would be a masochistic ride. Route easy to follow and the disused road to the top is near the roadcut where the forest road tops out. Somewhat exhausting, but a lovely day out.
