Was it a national holiday for bugs?! Tons of bugs and butterflies everywhere on this steep rollercoaster ridge hike. Started out with lots of bug spray on, then more on at summit but the biting flies were
relentless, still swarming us and biting us throughout the hike as we prayed for the strong wind promised in the forecast. Highlights were seeing butterfly mariposa lilies for the first time and a personal record 8 horned toad lizards.
