Ascent Trip Report

Solo hike from the trailhead on Rte. 9, up and over Blueberry, Mason, Bald, Rocky Peak Ridge and Giant. Snowing lightly on R.P.R. and Giant, muddy descent. Six hours to the summit of Giant (6:30-12:30) and 2.5 hour descent (slow going). Took the Roaring Brook Trail down. Very crowded from the summit of R.P.R. to the trailhead, counted over 100 hikers total.
