Ascent Trip ReportI had planned to do the Sand Springs Highpoint, from the northeast ridge, but I ended up in the wrong canyon. The heat was more than predicted, making the first stretch a bit taxing until I got high enough to get some breeze. I decided to head over to Peak 7205 instead, along the undulating curved ridge. Dropped down into a different wash on the descent and was promptly greeted by a rattlesnake. First of the season! Good to get that over with. I will probably wait for cooler weather before trying the HP again. |
