Ascent Trip ReportThe drive in was good enough (see Matthias Stender's track) for all vehicles, and then I drove in along the road they hiked a bit (the main road seemed a bit too "main" for my taste). The road I turned into had some loose dirt sections, and especially for parking off road and turning around I was glad I had high clearance.
From my starting point, Scott Peavy's route worked well until the steep ascent at the end. The loose steep rock fields were not enjoyable, and the bushwhacking was not much fun either- some bush stole one of my hiking poles. On my way down, I took a more westerly route and it did work out better- though I did have to contend with some bushwhacking to get back to my ascent route.
