Ascent Trip ReportStarted at the Green Creek Trailhead and hiked the road to Virginia Pass. Beautiful frozen water falls this time of year. Went up Camiaca from the pass and straight forward Class 2 on semi loose boulders. We went down to climb the peak to the northwest and had to do some down climbing. We went down the southeast side of that was a ridge and went down the loose slopes to the lake. Down the next slope below the lake presented us with multiple cliffs in our path that forced us to continue traversing to the southeast. Had to climb up a couple times to get out of some sketchy loose and steep slopes. After careful traversing for at least a half mile, we got to safe ground and continued down the class 2 until reaching the south side of the lake. |
