Ascent Trip Report

Public. Approach drive and hike attached. Road is fine for most vehicles I thought. Parked at 5600' and did the standard SW ridge route. A bit of sidehilling that was as fun as sidehilling and the steep drop over first bump and a bit more gentle sidehilling around second bump. At a saddle, it seemed like a trail was coming in from NW. I also followed the footpath and it quickly gains the ridge. From the views on approach I thought this might be steep and rubbly or loose but it was hardpacked and not a scramble. Pure walkup. Wide views from top but distant from alpine peaks. Easy enough. On the return I went over the first bump and then just contoured right and dropped to the road and back to the car. Straight-forward.
