Ascent Trip ReportStarting from Forest Road 273 ... A half mile into my track is where the road is closed to motor vehicles. The trail was difficult to make out for the next 0.1-0.2 miles with all the deadfall but easy peasy past that. The majority of this peak is on a trail. I left the trail for the final 0.2 steep miles to the summit.
This is a forested peak with a baldish top that affords some incredible views of Mt. Princeton’s Chalk Cliffs and a unique perspective of Mt. Antero, which actually looked kinda sexy... weird. I shouldn’t hate on Antero, it’s not its fault it’s been mined to crap. I stayed on the summit for a good amount of time to pause and take stock of my beautiful surroundings ... and then Instagram it of course. |
