Ascent Trip Report

I made an early morning drive from Denver and arrived about an hour after sunrise. It's really pretty country once you begin traveling east from Monument. There are views of cow pasture with Pike's Peak in the background. Getting to the HP is as easy as driving up and stepping out of the car. The last couple of miles is well maintained dirt road. I would say any car could make the trip. The listed location of the exact HP lies within private property that's clearly posted from the road. From the road, you can clearly see where the hill tops out and it's tempting to hop the fence to walk the hundred yards or so. Though honestly, it would gain you 3 ft. at the most.
