Ascent Trip ReportFrom the parking by the path at South Eldridge Street. Crossed the hwy US285 on the bridge, went cross country to first one lower hump, then the main hump. There is a marker in the ground, head height. Mt Carbon appears about as high, and I failed to bring my hand level...… I may go to the parking area at the 285 exit for Simms St and the roundabout south a quarter mile some day, walk over the hwy, and proceed to Mt Carbon and check it out. It lies atop the golf course. Max age 6 joined me. He thought it was silly; he was of course oh so right.... |
