Ascent Trip Report

There's a good place to park on the shoulder of the Parkway northeast of the summit. From there you can readily follow the northeast ridge to the top, which is what I did on this beautiful but windy spring day. The upper part of the ridge is pleasantly rocky and in some spots it's easier to walk on the east side of the ridge than directly on top. There are some views from the top, but they will probably be diminished by leaves in the summer. I list this as a bushwhack because there's no trail, but the bushwhacking is minimal except right around the summit, where some shrubs get in the way a little bit.
