Ascent of Copper Mountain-High Benchmark on 2020-04-16Date: | Thursday, April 16, 2020 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Copper Mountain-High Benchmark | Location: | USA-California | Elevation: | 3069 ft / 935 m |
Ascent Trip ReportTurned north on Mantonya from SR 62, drove north to Siesta Drive, turned left, drove up about a half mile and parked there. It was such a beautiful day, I wanted to hike, not drive. Had the road to myself. Great views from the top. Round trip distance includes side trip to High Benchmark. The earlier reports are correct, most 4WD vehicles would have no issues driving to the top. But I wanted to hike. Perfect weather - mid-60s. |
