Ascent Trip Report

July 24-25, 2010: Snow still on the ridge but the main pitches were free of snow and fine. Made a camp at the Neptuak-Deltaform col. Lots of room here and a small bit of running water. Lots of loose scary rock but the holds are there if patiently looking. A route finding challenge for sure. This is a long spectacular climb with no easy retreat. There are 3 or 4 pitches which could all vie for the crux but the pitch coming back up over the false summit gets my vote. Watch for rope induced rockfall on the rappels. The "scrambling" up Neptuak is quite difficult. We did a bit of it roped up.
I personally feel the route is underrated in the guidebooks.
