Ascent Trip ReportWow, This was a trek ! OK no not really. I drove over to the trail head parking at Buttermilk Valley, N40 24.100 W 074 00.794 ele 153'. Started my trek of a whole .51 miles to the summit taking Laurel Ridge Trl, Cuesta Ridge Trl and Grand Tour Trl to the summit ( Water Tower). The trails were very easy and well maintained with only a very mild rise. Found the highest point which seems to be across from the trail next to the Fence. I built a small cairn. When your about 60 feet from the top pick up a stone to add. Backtracked to the parking, then went geocaching which this park has plenty of.
Mt Biking is allowed here and you can easily ride to the summit. |
