Ascent Trip ReportParking is available at either Whites Gap or a bit further south at the Whites Gap Overlook, which is where I parked. On the west side of the Parkway at Whites Gap, a forest road heads downhill. I followed that to the curve marked with BM 2451 at Chestnut Sag. From there the rest of the way is a bushwhack, although there's a faint trail much of the way... animal, or old use trail? Headed west to the subpeak that's south of the main peak, then due north. It seems to be easiest to stay more or less right on the ridgeline. Nice rocky summit with an obvious benchmark and some views this time of year (leaves aren't out yet).
