Ascent Trip ReportStarted on the Mesquite Canyon Trail from Picnic Area #7 at the White Tank Mountain Regional Park. Followed this trail to its end at signed Goat Camp Trail at about 4.2. miles. Turned left. Followed GC Trail for 0.8 miles to a point marked by cairns on either side of the trail and just before the trail descends steeply. Turned right.
Leaving the GC Trail at this point is THE CRUX OF THE ROUTE!
Followed the cairned, old jeep trail (mostly unrecognizable), until it reached the summit Service Road. Turned right and followed the Service Road to the summit. Near the summit, the road arrived at a 3-fronged fork. Took the rightmost fork and walked to the highest point amongst the radio towers.
Wildlife seen: 4 deer, 0 snakes!
