Ascent of Eagle Mountain on 2020-03-07

|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||5350 ft / 1630 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFun peak! This approach from Cottonwood Campground involves some routefinding - a lot of random washes that go in many directions (for the descent). Very remote area in Joshua Tree National Park. It always amazes me how little the low desert is explored. Definitely an area limited by seasonality - would be too hot any later in the year. Loved the small lush ecosystem near the summit - a lot of greenery. GPS track is mostly reliable. Sierra Club Desert Peaks never disappoint!
