Ascent Trip Report After San Gorgonio we were tired and it was a long drive to Nevada, but we wanted to get as close to Hayford as we could, so wound up sleeping at the Corn Creek Field Station of the Desert National Wildlife Range, not far from the mountain. In the morning we drove to the end of Hidden Forest Road and hiked up Deadman Canyon to the old cabin. There we turned north and followed the ridge to its intersection with Hidden Forest Ridge, then up that ridge to the summit. The cabin in Deadman Canyon at the left turn point. Duane viewing the summit and surveying the route ahead. Duane on the summit attempting to get cell service.
