Ran from Cole Gap over Shortoff. Followed the Yellow Mountain trail. The trail goes over Shortoff Mountain and results in an out-and-back with 3,000 feet of gain in 12.7 miles. The summit of Yellow is rocky and bald with 360-degree views from the 1 story fire tower. There are excellent views to the East and South from the rocky outcrop.
