Ascent Trip ReportThis is a side peak near the State HP of South Carolina. Just a small bushwhack to the east to reach the sub-summit. My wife saw no use in this endeavor :), but I heeded Tom Layton's words in his post which is fascinating to mountain and river nerds:
"This little knoll on the shoulder of the SC HP marks the triple divide of three major river basins. From here:
--Glady Fork and the French Broad River flow north into the Tennessee, Ohio, and Mississippi, reaching the Gulf of Mexico below New Orleans.
--The Saluda River heads east into the Congaree and Santee, reaching the Atlantic near Georgetown SC.
--Eastatoe Creek feeds Lake Keowee, Lake Hartwell and the Savanah, reaching the Atlantic on the SC/GA line."
Got feet and a hand in all three areas!!!
