Ascent Trip Report

Was struggling early on this one but once I got properly fueled and hydrated it made it a lot easier. Once we hit the "steep" section I was motoring along pretty well. Overall this was a difficult hike more because my conditioning is not what I'd like it to be and the Glencliff trail is pretty persistent. We averaged about a mile an hour on the ascent. I was in crampons. My daughter, Sara, was on snowshoes. Temperatures were fairly moderate. Temp at the trailhead was 12 degrees when we started and it warmed up during the day. It wasn't until we got above treeline that we really felt the cold and it was windy on the South summit and the main summit as well with windchills well below zero.
