Ascent Trip Report

We drove up an icy Hoover Road past a gated unnamed road to find suitable parking. The area had about 5 inches of fresh powdery snow on the ground and the trees here covered as well. We walked back to the south to the gated road which took us to a round clearing about 1/4 of a mile. My Garmin 62s gave an altitude of 2626' while standing in this clearing at N40° 44.109' W78° 19.876'. I think this is where the radio tower was. Although we were higher than any other land at this point there was not much to see, the area is thick with low brushy trees. I marked the gate as a waypoint. There is room for at least one vehicle to park without blocking the gate. After exploring the area we walked north on Hover Road to another gated road then turned west on it for a short explore.
