Ascent Trip Report

Jared’s conditioner plus skills practice trip for the SIG. Bremerton Ferry knots practice then to the lower trailhead and hiked up. Quick talks and demo of rest step by Milo. No views, inch or so of snow starting about 3/4 of way up. Some on/off cold rain helped drive home some lessons on how to stay warm when stopped. Setup top rope practice on the ground with the restroom and all had a turn belaying and climbing with tying in, partner check and using commands. Great job by all! Unfortunately on the hike out close to the cars there was a small ankle turn that was managed well by the group. Bainbridge ferrry back with beverages and snacks plus a bit more knot practice.
