Ascent Trip ReportHiked from the Tenderfoot TH and then up the Big Sheep Basin trail. The trail kind of peters out in the basin, but we followed some large cairns across and then found the trail again as it switchbacked up to the saddle west of Wing Ridge. We left the trail and tried to bypass Wing Ridge on the northwest side, but it is kind of cliffy and we had to climb almost to the top of Wing Ridge and then back down to the Wing Ridge/East McCully saddle before climbing up to the summit of East McCully. Open country with good views. On the way back we climbed back over Wing Ridge. All stats are combined on this TR. |
