Ascent Trip Report

Absolutely amazing weather. Headed out from Swiftcurrent Motor Inn through the valley. Came upon medium sized adolescent bull moose about 5' off trail right in front of us. Climbed up through the valley and began ascent of the wall. Great views in all directions lovely view out of the valley over the several lakes. Continued to follow the trail over a few small streams and next to some small glaciers. Passed a decent sized herd of big horned rams and a few mountain goats. My sister proceeded toward the lodge for a break and my brother and I continued up to the summit of Swiftcurrent Mt. Unbelievable views from the summit in all directions. Awesome to check out the back of the continental divide from the pass that most people can't see from the valley. We were quite surprised to see the little building on the summit weren't really expecting that. We took a little break ate some used the outhouse with the best view on earth and headed back down. We met up with sis at the pass and proceeded all the way back down to the motor inn where we had a great post hike lunch. All in all strenuous a little challenging but absolutely worth every minute of it.
