Ascent Trip ReportThis state park high point is off I-210 near Glendale. Previous reports talk about parking at the La Tuna Canyon parking area, which still holds true. Hike up the roadway, turn dirt until you come to a rather steep section on the left. Here you can choose to bypass a section of road, by ascending a brutal steep section. This was done not knowing where the road went. On the return, took the road. The Verdugo Mountains Park Property high point is off the road, after you regain the road, if you took the steep section. You actually walk passed the high point until at the south of it. Then ascend a use trail to the high point. There are other GPS tracks to use. This is CA state park 245. |
