Ascent Trip Report

Took roughy three hours to get to the lookout. This was, at the time, the most beautiful hike I had ever done. Snow capped peaks, humid meadows full of wild flowers and a beautiful lookout at the top with a group of people who all posed for a group pic with us. We got heckled for not taking or wearing appropriate gear and running on the trails. I didn't expect that nor knew what that really meant. We encountered a few snowfields on the peak that was a surprise to see in mid August. We took one snow field up and we glissaded down another. I didn't know what the term "glissading" meant either. I haven't been back to the North Cascades since this trip. I can't wait to go back.
