Ascent of Vesper Peak on 2019-11-30
|Date:||Saturday, November 30, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6214 ft / 1894 m|
Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful weather - cold, calm, and sunny. Snow depth varied from a few inches on the rocky switchbacks to knee-deep in drifts. Crampons and axe were helpful for getting up thin snow/ice/rock on last pitch of Headlee Pass; necessary for the last 400 ft to the summit, which was mostly hard, wind-scoured ice.
