Ascent of El Sombroso on 2019-11-19
|Date:||Tuesday, November 19, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Unsuccessful - Turned Back|
| Elevation:||3000 ft / 914 m|
Ascent Trip ReportTraverse from Mt Thayer after my direct ascent of Mt Umunhum via the Guadalupe Creek drainage. Worst manzanita traverse I’ve ever done. Crawled on my stomach for at least a mile and almost thought I’d be spending the night in the bushes. The road the topo map shows does not exist anymore.
