Ascent Trip Report

Did this in combination with Sadie Hawkins from Crystal Springs. Good hike to do on a sore knee as the grade is very gentle (2200' in 5mi) on a mostly smooth road and trail. Surprised to find good flowing water where the road crosses Snowslide Canyon. At the saddle we turned north and bagged Sadie Hawkins first. Back down at the saddle we took the trail up to South Mount Hawkins and took the road back down. Cool calm weather. Visibility pretty good but a bit hazy. Could see Catalina. Saw two other hikers on the trail that must have hiked South Mount Hawkins as we did Sadie Hawkins.
